Application

Camphor (synthetic) is used in manufacture of cellulose nitrate, magnetic material.  It is also used as medicine, antiseptic, insecticide, etc.  It can be used as an ingredient in smokeless powder, as a stabilizer and a moderator to improve ballistic properties.

Attention

1. Camphor (synthetic) is an inflammable substance, it has pyrophorisity under the action of oxidant.  The burning point is 65.6℃, and the pyrophorisity point is 375℃.  The production facility must be obscured strictly.  The workshop should be ventilating.

2. When camphor (synthetic) causes fire, mist water, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sandy soil shall be used to extinguish fire.

3. The Camphor steam in the air should be no more than 3mg/m³, otherwise it may hurt people’s nerve.
